SPONSORED RESIDENTIAL

Sponsored Residential Homes provide skill-building services to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities/Developmental Disabilities just like in a Group Home, however, Sponsored Residential services are provided n a caretaker's (“sponsor’s”) home and limited to a maximum of 2 individuals in care.

The Sponsor is evaluated, trained, supported, and supervised by a Provider Agency that follows the rules for licensing by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS).

Skill-building and support are provided in order to help the individual meet his or her medical, dietary, behavioral, personal care, and daily living needs. Skill-building and support are also provided to build independence and to promote involvement in the home and in the community.
